March Recipe Spotlight

Hemp Protein Smoothie (from our pouch)

2 tbsp Tommy Bud Hemp Protein Powder

1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)

1 banana

1/2 cup frozen berries

Optional: 1 tsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions:
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy a protein-packed start to your day!

Lemon Hemp Muffins

Light. Zesty. Nourishing.

These muffins are soft, subtly nutty, and perfectly balanced with fresh lemon. They’re beautiful for brunch, afternoon tea, or a bright start to your morning.

Ingredients:

Dry Ingredients:
1 cup hemp flour
1 cup almond flour (or all-purpose flour)
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt

Wet Ingredients:
2 eggs
⅓ cup maple syrup or honey
⅓ cup melted coconut oil or avocado oil
Zest of 1 large lemon
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Additions:
¼ cup fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with 10–12 liners.

In one bowl, whisk together the hemp flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, maple syrup, oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, almond milk, and vanilla until smooth.

Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined. If using, fold in blueberries or poppy seeds.

Fill each muffin cup about three-quarters full and bake for 18 to 22 minutes, until lightly golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Optional Spring Glaze:

For an elevated touch, mix ½ cup powdered coconut sugar (or icing sugar) with 1–2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice. Drizzle lightly over cooled muffins for a soft citrus finish.

Hemp flour adds plant-based protein, fibre, and a beautiful earthy depth that pairs perfectly with bright spring flavours.

Here’s to lighter days, vibrant kitchens, and embracing your Spring Fever.
